Michigan may be best known for its auto industry, its college football teams, and its contributions to the art of office-furniture manufacture. The fact is, though, that this mitten-shaped Upper Midwestern state has made great contributions to American arts and culture-and all sorts of positive signs, from the growth of downtown Grand Rapids to the sudden explosion in Detroit-based visual arts, suggest that Michigan plans to remain one of the cultural capitals of the United States.

And that place is well-earned. After all, this is the state where Motown Records was founded, where punk rock pioneer Iggy Pop, filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, and author Nelson Algren hail from, where the classic Anatomy of a Murder was filmed, and where Ernest Hemingway set his first published story. Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Gilda Radner, and Lily Tomlin were all born here, Elmore Leonard calls the state home, and Sufjan Stevens made his name as the leader of West Michigan-based band Marzuki.

Michigan has an important place in film history, too. It provides backdrop for such films as The Evil Dead, Four Brothers, Grosse Pointe Blank, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, RoboCop, and 8 Mile. A recent bill enacted by the Michigan legislature ensures that the Wolverine State will continue attracting quality film productions, luring famous and unknown film artists alike with a forty-percent across-the-board refundable tax credit, a loan program, and other goodies. This incentives package, coupled with the state's unique geographic diversity that allows it to "stand in" for many kinds of locations (urban, mountainous, forested, coastal), makes Michigan one of the most attractive possible shooting locations in the United States. But filmmakers should also note the state's lively film-festival calendar-a mere sampling of which is provided below.

In the Detroit area alone, we have a plethora. Royal Oak offers the results of the innovative 48 Hour Film Project every July, after teams of Detroit-area filmmakers spend a forty-eight hour period writing, shooting, editing and scoring an entire film, using just a prop, line of dialogue, character, and genre which must be included in the film. Similar projects are done in fifty-four other cities from around the world, and Detroit's version features robust participation from area filmmakers.

And in December there's Dearborn's Annual Arab Film Festival, hosted by the Arab American National Museum. Given the impact that filmmakers from Arab cultures have had on the art form in recent years-Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami is regularly acclaimed as one of the great artists of world cinema, and films from the region are often cited as influences by such directors as Werner Herzog and Michael Haneke-this is one festival not to miss, since today's Arab film festival entry may be tomorrow's influential new classic.

Other possibilities for the discerning Michigan cineaste include the long-running Ann Arbor Film Festival. The lower-Michigan city of Ann Arbor is something of a regional cultural capital-it supports one of the world's best research universities in the University of Michigan, and it has all the bookstores and museums you'd expect of such a place-so it's no surprise that it's also the home of one of the oldest, best-established, and most vital film festivals in the country, which continues to attract artistic experimenters from all over the world. Early work by Lawrence Kasdan, George Lucas, Andy Warhol, and Gus Van Sant, among others, has appeared at this festival (one of Variety's top ten "Festivals We Love"); it's the place to catch works by tomorrow's trendsetting young film directors-today.

For filmmakers and their personnel visiting any of the above festivals (and many more every year in places such as Traverse City, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Mt. Pleasant), the state offers an excellent transit infrastructure experienced in handling film and television productions. For example, Checker Sedan-the company that most recently handled transportation for SuperBowl XL, and the official transportation provider for the Detroit Metro Airport-has years of experience in dropping off dailies, picking up stars, and every other kind of work associated with film and television production.

Well, to answer that question let's first ask another question -

What is a typical wedding video?

When asked this question, most people have the same stereotypical images flying through their heads - a dull Sunday afternoon, all the family crammed into the lounge watching a 6 hour long shaky video shot by Uncle Bob on his handy-cam; long boring shots and no editing.

Or maybe you get lucky and you've had your wedding done by a professional wedding videographer - Yay!

Not so fast - 9 times out of 10 even the videos you pay for are equally dull; full of tedious panning shots, cheesy video transitions straight out of the 80's, and set to the corniest love music known to man. The end result is the same - half your family fall asleep while watching it and the other half wish they were asleep; anything to save them from the cringe-worthiness of your amazing wedding video.

The above scenario is of course an exaggerated nightmare; that's what we don't want in a video, but what do we want? What makes a great wedding video? Well, in short, a great wedding video is one that entertains everyone who watches it and is never out of the DVD player. And that's all down to one vital ingredient...

A great wedding video is all about fun!

When you hire a wedding videographer to film your special day he needs to have the eye to pick up on those great little moments, all the things you want to remember 10 years down the line; the smiles, the laughs, the tears, the bridesmaids strutting their stuff on the dance floor, and the hi-jinks of the best man whose had one too many beers.

Your videographer needs to be able to frame a great scene, and mix it up with wide shots, mids, and close-ups, not a succession of long shots panning round the entire room like a gardener hosing his lawn!

Wedding videography is about subtlety; it's about documenting the day, not directing it. The job of the wedding videographer is similar to that of the wedding photographer, but vastly different. The photographer has to direct the couple and guests in order to stage those all important album shots. The videographer, on the other hand, needs to blend into the background like a ninja! What is editing?

Every video project is different and unique whether its television, corporate videos, music videos, or wedding videos. At the end of a shoot it's the same scenario - you have a hard drive full of raw footage and you need to take that raw footage and turn it into a video. It's a massive jigsaw puzzle and it takes the right editor to craft it into a piece that engages and entertains the viewer. So when choosing the right videographer for your wedding video its not just about choosing a cameraman, it's about choosing an editor. A great wedding video is one with great editing, simple as that. If the editing isn't there, the video is a non starter. A good editor builds a scene that flows using pace and rhythm, punchy cuts, upbeat music, sound bites, and scene dynamics. An editor who knows his craft is worth his weight in gold.

And then there's colour grading...

What is Colour Grading?

Colour grading is the final phase of the editing process and a dedicated editor will not skimp on this process. In fact, colour grading is so important in movies that the editor of the movie doesn't do it; a dedicated "Colour Grader" is given the task. It could be argued that grading is the most important part of the movie because it's all about the aesthetic finish; it's about giving the movie its "look". A colour grader is the person responsible for giving films like "The Matrix" and "Minority Report" that dark look, a style called "Bleach Bypass", and while that look isn't really appropriate for a wedding, it's absolutely imperative that your wedding videographer takes time to find a look that is. Grading those high definition shots of your wedding day, making them ooze with colour and detail, will literally make your video jump off the screen!

What about equipment?

To put it bluntly, your videographer MUST have the right equipment; He'll have at least one professional HD camcorder to do the job, but by using two he can capture a selection of wide, mid, and close up shots at the ceremony and speeches - variety is everything. Many videographers offer Blu-ray discs so you can watch your video back on an HD television in full high definition. This is great, but as long as your video is shot in high definition, watching it back on a standard DVD is just fine. This is actually how shooting for TV has worked for many years; pictures are shot on HD cameras and once the programme is edited it is broadcast in standard definition (with the exception of HD programmes). So while Blu-ray discs are all the rage, they're not essential.

The demand for instant, each SBU (Strategic Business Unit) for large companies like General Electric, Siemens, Centrica and different strategies to compete effectively and efficiently. It's not a matter of strategy for all SBUs since the probability for each of them experience the same rate of market growth industry threats and leverage is very slim. Here is the BCGModel comes into play as a tool for management analysis. Subsequent studies the fundamentals of the model, for what it is used, and how to use it because it is used.

WHAT IS THE BCG GROWTH-SHARE MATRIX?
First, BCG is respected, an acronym for Boston Consulting Group, a consulting firm advising high overall management strategy. WHAT THE GROWTH main aspects of the BCG matrix market share?
Relative market share and market growth: Growth-Share Matrix BCG is based on two sizes. They are often indicators for the health of a company (Kotler, 2003, McDonald 2003). Relative market share

Similarly, shares of Dell's PC line of iPods that domain theory. The PCGiant production, is in a global market share of 18.1%, which according to its main market of its competitors (see Figure 2).

Growing market
Market growth axis is correlated with the paradigm of the life cycle of the product, and predicates of the cash requirements of a product must be in relation to the growth of this market. A rapidly growing market is generally considered interesting and attracts a lot of resources of the organization, in an attempt to increaseProfits. How to develop a good BCG GROWTH-SHARE MATRIX of a company?
SBUs or products along the lines of circles and fall into one of the four cells of the matrix showndescribed above. Mathematically, the center axis on the scale of the low-high is 1.0 (; Kotler 2003 Drummond & Ensor 2004) represented. At this point corresponds to the SBU's market share or market share the product of its largest competitor (Drummond & Ensor 2004, Kotler 2003). Once the products have been applied or SBU,The designer must then decide on the strategy objective, and the budget lines of business. In practice, at this point that organizations should strive to maintain a balanced portfolio. Cash generated from cash cows should be assigned to Stars and the question mark in an attempt to create future cash cows. In addition, there are four major strategies to be pursued at this time, can be described in the following section.

Strategies available to pursue

Build
The product or SBU, market sharemust be increased in order to strengthen its position. In the short term income and profits have fallen by the way, it is hoped that long-term profits will be higher than this. This strategy is suitable question marks when they are also the stars.

Keep
The goal is to share the current position and this strategy is often used for cash cows, in order to generate large amounts of money to keep it going.

Vintage
Here, the management attempts to increase short-term cash flowas possible (for example, price increases, cost reduction) even at the cost of the products or SBU, the long-term future. WHERE TO FIND INFORMATION FOR THE GROWTH-BCG matrix market share?

Limitations
BCG is the model for a number of limitations (Kotler 2003, McDonald 2003) has criticized:

In modern economies, with capital flows relatively free of friction, this is not the appropriate metrics - and not risk-adjusted discounted cash flows to be used (many worlds, 2005).

or addition, the array of products / business units separately and independently of assets outside the company. InIn other words, there is no provision for the synergy between the products / business units. This is rarely realistic.

o The relationship between cash flow and market share is too weak due to a number of factors, including (Cipher 2006): competitors can have access to cheap materials, regardless of their position relative share, at low altitude producers' market on a very steep learning curve with its superior production technology and other strategic factors can affect market share gainsMargins.

o In addition, the growth-share matrix on the assumption that high growth rates brings the use of funds of great size and maturity of the life cycle of the gain expected return is based. This may not be correct for several reasons (Cipher 2006): capital intensity may be low and the business / product could be grown without large cash outlays, high barriers to entry may then there are margins to be sustainable and large enough to produce a positive cash flow and growth at the sameOvercapacity time, and industry price competition may push prices at the end.

o In addition, market growth is not the only factor or necessarily the most important factor in assessing the attractiveness of a market. A rapidly growing market is not necessarily attractive. Growth markets attract new players and if capacity exceeds demand then the market with a low profit margin and thus become unattractive. A high-growth market may lack the size and stability.
Since the 'mentioned weaknesses, BCG Growth-Share Matrix can be used with caution, but it is a well known business model portfolio evaluation (Kotler 2003).
